I’m a newer sbux partner, started about 2 months ago so I’m still getting into the groove of things. I’ve had a lot of bar time since my store is pretty low volume and we’re short staffed 90% of the time. I’m usually stuck closing so I’m used to doing bar, dto & even window at the same time. It was really a sink of swim kind of deal. So when we get borrowed partners I’m always very grateful bc if it wasn’t for them things would be more of a shit show than usual.
I’m probably not going to win any awards for speed, but I can hold my own on bar, especially if it’s just mobile/cafe bar since our lobby is closed we don’t get a lot of lot of custies coming inside so it’s a very doable position. And as long as I don’t get an order for like 8 Frappuccino’s I can get the drinks made relatively quickly. However, this borrowed partner takes it upon herself to make me do CS even if my actual ssv put me on bar 2. She’ll be like “I can solo bar go grab us cups/go clean the ice bin/why don’t you sweep?/etc.” it honestly does get on my nerves because she treated me like I was incompetent doing any other position other than CS and she’s not even a lead! I let her boss me around the first couple of times but by the end of the shift I was so over it I just stayed on bar two cause we were getting a lot of ubereats orders. I’m a fairly non confrontational and I don’t want to make a big deal about it at my store but it did maybe annoy me more than it should’ve.
