I enjoyed my time at starbucks... at first. My coworkers were nice, I loved making drinks and making people's days. Armed with the mindset passed down to me by my parents I began to work 30 to 32 hours a week despite this being my first real job. It was a jump for me but I was ok for awhile. Then they started scheduling less people, cutting back hours but hiring more baristas. There weren't enough trainers to instruct them, so others with barely any experience tried their best to help them along. I was ready to quit, but for reasons I couldn't. I became exhausted, the stress causing my OCD and anxiety to spike. In short, it got so bad I ended up in the hospital. I know this is just my story, and not everyone's experience at Starbucks will be the same. I really hope they make some changes in thr company
