So I (20m) am currently a full time college student. I was promoted to a Shift Supervisor when I was 19. The first store I worked at had a lot of older staff who weren’t in college and when I mean older I mean 25-30 year olds. During my time there as a supervisor I felt that most of the staff didn’t take me seriously because one my age and 2 I was promoted after my first month of working at SBUX. I felt they didn’t respect me as a superior and only saw me as a friend. The second and my current store the staff is mostly if not all in college, so it was easier and to this day I haven’t felt like they don’t respect me most of us hang out outside of work. Wondering if anyone has experienced the same ?
