Mastrena 2 and latte art?

Super short question post. Been having trouble adjusting to the new M2 machines as they dont allow for proper separation when steaming "art milk". Any tips or suggestions on timing/technique? Latte art was a huge part of my rep at my store with the M1 because I was the only one who could do it well and mine weren't even that good they were alright but I'm no pro. Anyways anything that could possibly be helpful please let me know! Thank you so much
