I just felt like I had to make a post because the situation was so ridiculous. I don’t even know what the customer was thinking.
It’s about 9:45 PM in our DT, cars wrapped around but we push them out fast, customer pulls up to order screen “ I forgot what it was on your menu, but it had hazelnut in it and espresso” so I essentially say “Oh yeah! The hazelnut oatmilk shaken espresso?” Customer agrees.
Customer pulls up to window. I hand them their first drink, and then I hand them the HOSE. “Did you even mix it together?” “It looks like you just put it in and gave no effort”. At this point, car has been visualizing drink and giving comments to point to it being incorrect, customer is appalled at the fact that there’s brown at the bottom of the cup and it’s not all one solid color? (I get that there is a learning curve with the shaken espresso, and every store may not be able to deliver the same thing, but I gave him what essentially looks like a picture off of the Starbucks app)
He says that it’s just too incorrect and that he needs to change it because he ordered the wrong thing after I was adamant about it being the correct thing. Customer substitutes for a hazelnut latte, gets out of my window after about 10 minutes of conversation.
Imagine having your window down at 45 seconds just to have someone sit there for 10 minutes at the very end of the day 😭
