Yesterday I worked a whole 8 hour shift. All weekend I was on 3 person plays & of course it was crazy busy. Yesterday while I was on drive I had asked a customer how they were, they responded & asked how I was. I honestly replied “a little stressed” & they proceeded to make fun of me the entire rest of the interaction about it. They asked for straws & as I was going to grab them they mockingly said “oh she’s stressed,” and were laughing about it. all I could do was grin & bear it. I’m honestly just physically & mentally tired & very much over it. I hope today is better, but I’m not having much hope. I wish people understood how miserable it can be trying to force a smile & an interaction while we’re struggling to keep up for hours on end.
