I bought all of the stalker games (they came in a pack on sale) and I'm beginning to play. I played a little bit of Shadow of Chernobyl, failed at installing the Call of Chernobyl mod (when adding mods the game just crashes) and finally I downloaded and started playing STALKER anomaly for a bit.
One problem though... I don't understand the game really. What are you supposed to do, what fun is to be had that I haven't seen or experienced yet? I understand what kind of game this is and I love very open ended, challenging games like this yet for some reason, I just can't really get a grasp on this one. I think that the real fun for me in games like this comes from the atmosphere of a post apocalyptic, Russian themed game. Very doomerish and I love it.
If someone could please give me some guidance on how to ease me into the series or just this game in specific I will be so grateful. From what I've seen the STALKER community is one of the best out there. Maybe just some guidelines on what I should do first in order to work my way into a good understanding of what I'm doing or supposed to do for that matter. Thanks, all!
