As title says, if being a new player isnt a concern, whats the best way to play as a stalker?

I used to play a few years ago, and I think I can remember the Call of chernobyl mashtogether and the Misery mod (what I played)

But now Im hearing about a mod called anomaly, and I dont know anything about the Stalker community after so long, so Im a little lost on which games or mods to play for the fullest/immersive experience.

What are my options in terms of mod overhauls? (Will edit as responses come in)
