CoC: "The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing..."

Heya, this is a weird error I'm finding here.

I'm finishing a fresh Win7 install on my home computer, and proceeded to "install" the installation I was using on my old setup to play CoC (Call of Chernobyl 1.4.22 AMR 8.3) and, when launching the game, I got this error.

Now, I have installed Direct X on my computer and the only weak link I could think is that I'm using a small registry patch I made myself to avoid having to install Call of Pripyat. I've looked around the interwebs for some information, but my search only take me to either warez sites or shitty youtube tutorials that, for some reason, have the steps taken on the video listed on the description.

So, anyone has any clue of what I'm doing wrong? Do I have to install DirectX 9? Thanks!
