Need help with vsync

I've bought the 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games and have set them up with the patches/etc in the sidebar, but I can't seem to get vsync working. I've tried forcing vsync with my drivers, using the beta for SoC (which made the screen go black when backing out of option menus and loading screens), and I've looked at Multi Patch but I can find absolutely nothing on install instructions for it. Clicking on it just throws up an error.
