hardware Encoders with Showcockpit

Post Body

Hey everyone,

I've recently posted this question elsewhere but didn't get an answer so I wanted to ask here:

I've recently purchased a MIDI controller with endless encoders to map it to the actual encoders in Onyx via Shocockpit. But I have a problem with that.

I know what the problem is, I just don't know how to fix it...

My encoders work the following way: if I turn them right, a CC Event is sent with a value between 1 and 10. This value depends on how fast I turn the encoder. If I turn the encoder left, a CC Event is sent with a value between 127 and 100. Also dependent on how fast I turn the encoder.

If I use the "Learn" function inside Showcockpit it creates an encoder with values between 0 and 1. If I turn the encoder right I can manipulate the encoder inside Onyx (but only as long as I'm turning it not too fast.) If I turn it left, nothing happens. This is "expected" behaviour but obv. not what I want.

Is there a way to fix this?

EDIT: I'm not even sure that what I described above is the actual problem. First Up, I got the encoder to work (left and right turns) as long as I'm not turning it not too fast.

I tested it with another encoder which just either sends the Value 127 or 1 (dependent on the direction you turn) and I have still problems with turning the encoder too fast and this not being recognised in Onyx. It looks more like Showcockpit is skipping some messages to send. This has to be a problem with Showcockpit because if I use something like OSCII Bot it works.
