Sorry for the 20 screenshots, but this needs to be addressed. I'll keep this as brief and concise as I possibly can, but I just want to make this post as caution for anyone else who is considering buying anything from this content creator, or if she ever asks you for money to be VERY wary and not make the same mistakes I did.
At the beginning of this month, May 2024,, Amira created a post advertising content and I wanted to purchase. I paid her $20 and she says she will send content over my way, however this never happened because she claimed to have been at a doctor's appointment and had difficulties getting back home.
She then asks for $30 for an Uber ride back home, which I explain that I wasn't comfortable paying for. The next morning she says that she was still unable to make it home. I felt bad, and reluctantly gave her $30, mainly because she said she will pay me back, and at this point I had no reason to believe she would lie to me.
Afterwards, she claims that it was ACTUALLY $40 that she needed to get home, and at this point I'm growing frustrated. She gives a sob story about her her change increased from needing an extra $10 to now $20 for the ride home, and at this point I've began getting this creeping feeling in my gut that I'm being played. However, out of the kindness of my heart, I decided to help her out and give her $40 so she can get home. At this point it wasn't even about getting any content, I just saw how much help she was needing and I wanted to be helpful. As you can see from these screenshots, I'm not even really caring about the content anymore.
By this point I've given her 90 DOLLARS, and I've not gotten any content OR the money back that SHE promised me. I'm getting VERY frustrated now. Weeks pass at this point with idle back and forth about when I'm getting my money back and she insists that she needs $32 to get her Cash app account out of the negatives so that way she can pay me back. There's no way in hell someone cannot acquire $30 in a few weeks to fix their bank account, but I play along anyways.
Fast forward to today, May 25, and I cave in and decide to provide her with the $33 so she can fix her account and she can then pay me back EVERYTHING, totaling to $123. SHE ALSO AGREES THAT SHE WILL IMMEDIATELY PAY ME BACK.
I pay her the $33, and suddenly... Now she's negative $24.32 and needs that amount to recover her account. Moving the goalpost AGAIN, another excuse AGAIN. It was at this moment I've fully realized I've been getting scammed and she has had 0 intention of giving any of my money back, after I gave her money to help her get out of the financial situation her irresponsibility left her in. And worst of all, she has had the nerve to get combative with ME and give ME attitude after SHE'S the one asking ME for money and has a debt.
There are MANY MORE screenshots documenting this entire ordeal, however Reddit only allows up to 20 screenshots on a post, so I left out some smaller banter between her and I.
Let this be a lesson to everyone reading this who has been wanting to buy content from Ok_Platypus_9078. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HER. You will be scammed. If she feeds you a sob story and asks for money, DO NOT GIVE. You will not see that money back if she claims to repay you in the future. If you want to give her money out of the kindness of your own heart then do what you want. I'm down $123 from this woman due to me acting out of kindness and I'm the idiot in the end. Don't be like me.
