Ants everywhere. How to prevent them?

There millions of tiny orange colour ants (some people call them “Nai Koombi”) in and around my house.
First they ruined packeted food items. Then they got a couple of electrical appliances. Now I can see them in electric conduit lines goes through the slab, which may cause a serious, irreversible damage.
Mortin seems to be an effective remedy. But that is for elimination. Do you know any hack to repel them?
PS: Our place is clean all the time. No food is lying around.
