I am a Indian and visiting Sri Lanka for a couple weeks, I have a valid Indian driving license.
I have been stopped by police twice so far.
Once was just a quick check of license and they let me go.
Yesterday I was stopped, they checked my license told me all kinds of stories of why I would be going to spend the night in jail, lol. And going to a judge tomorrow where I’d have to pay some 30k fine, blah blah. Obviously to extract money. I didn’t end up paying but they made me wait 15 mins on the side of the road. After which they let me go.
Anyway just checking if I need anything other than my indian license international driving permit?
