Is my Taghi a defect?

I got Taghi the bull terrier in a mystery capsule, and I noticed his ears are WAY smaller than most of the pics I see online. Even when I saw through some of the other mystery capsules in the store (the yellow ones are slightly transparent), I noticed some very large ears that likely belong to other Taghis.
Would you consider this a defect or poor quality control? Regardless, I’m gonna keep hunting for a more blatant defect because I think they’re cool!
