Not sure this is the right place for this so sorry if not.
I walk to and from work every day. It's about a mile each way and I kind of enjoy being alone, walking down a semi-busy street. Around this time last year was when I first started being afraid of squirrels. Not afraid just . . . wary. There's a single tree in my front yard a foot, maybe a foot and a half from the sidewalk. At least once a week for two months straight, every single time I walked past that tree a squirrel would jump on it and climb until it was level with my face where it would stare at me until I was completely out of sight. I refused to turn my back on this guy because I did not trust him at all. Today while walking home, I was listening to music, staring at the sidewalk cause I've been a little zoned out lately, when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I jumped and turned my head and there was a squirrel in somebody's yard maybe four feet away. That little guy would scurry forward a few inches then stop. Scurry forward a few more inches then stop. I hadn't stopped walking and when this guy was less than two feet away, I was honestly considering running for my life when he just stopped, stared at me, then turned around and went back to whatever he was doing. I don't know what I did to offend them, but I think the squirrels in my neighborhood hate me.
