Why do people constantly switch their playlists from public to private?

Yeah I know a guy whose activity is private but playlists are public. 1 day he makes a certain playlist public then 3 days later makes it private. After 2-3 days makes it public again. And it’s a recurring thing. Do people do this for attention or something? I’m very curious
