When I started my Spotify account, I chose the easy route to set it up through Facebook. Well, my account was one of those affected by the recent Facebook security flaw. A “hacker” with access to my Facebook account was then able to use my Spotify premium account. These buggers went another step and upgraded my membership to a family plan. I was lucky enough to check my bank statement 2 days after it happened and thought it was odd that Spotify charged me $15 instead of the usual $10. So I dug around on Facebook and Spotify, found the problem, then proceeded to contact Spotify about the issue. They apologized for the error, refunded me the $15 payment, and gave me a free month of Spotify premium. I never wanted any kind of gift from Spotify, I just wanted to let them know about the issue and refund me the $5 overcharge (I am not gay, but $5 is $5). So Facebooks fuck up is forcing other businesses to right their wrongs, and Spotify’s support team did a great job at doing so.
