Switching from flag to tackle at a MS, or HS is also not ideal as proper tackling is not ingrained. MS and HS squads are way too big to get proper training on those skills. In fact, it's part of the immediate problem. We now have flag football players jumping in at upper levels who have not played, or learned how to tackle properly.
