Does anyone else see occasional 60s influence in the early seasons of SpongeBob?

The “Livin in the Sunshine” song from the first episode, and I have also been watching clips from the original 1960s Batman series and realized/decided that Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy (funny how I remember that after having not sat down and watched all the episodes in about a decade) are based off the series’ portrayal of Batman and Robin, off what I imagine the creator saw in his childhood.
