tl;dr reddit co-writes Bowsette. Last post here.

Hey long time no see. If you don't remember the crowdsourcing project, I don't blame you, it's been a while. Thanks to the hard work of Kobrad the crowdsource tool is up and operational, and /u/thelonelyphonebox and his motley crew have got the poses done too!

This means we can finally start putting Bowsette together. If you've wanted to have a go at making a character for spnati but have felt that it's too confusing, or it's too much work, then this is the thing for you.

Okay, so what do?

There's no need to download anything - pretty much everything can be done through the Crowdsourcing Tool. The tool is really simple to use too! Here's a quick little image to help you.

1. The Situation section (red) describes what is happening in game. You should find these situations very familiar if you've played SPNatI a decent amount.
2. The Dialogue section (blue) is where you actually write in your line. In the image, the situation is that Bowsette is removing her dress, so her dialogue should be something she would say while she is stripping. You can also select an expression to go with your line - choosing an expression will show you a preview of the pose on the left.
3. The Notes section (black) is for any of your own thoughts about the line. Maybe you think the line should play under a specific condition? Maybe you want the line to be followed up by another specific line? Maybe you just want to categorize your own suggestions? None of these notes will be readable in-game, they'll only appear on the tool.

This is cool, but how do I get more control over my lines?

Luckily for you, by switching to Advanced or Expert mode, you can customise your lines even more! Here's another image for reference.

1. The Situation section (red) is now a dropdown, letting you hand pick any situation you'd like.
2. On the right hand side is the Dialogue Stages selector (black). With this, you can choose exactly what stage of the game Bowsette will say her lines in. Maybe you want her to only say the line at the beginning and ends of the game, or maybe only when she's just taken off her dress.
3. If you want to make it so lines are only said when specific characters are playing, you need to use Expert Mode. This can get a little difficult if you've never done any character development before, so if you try to use it, make sure to leave notes so that we can ensure your line plays how it should.

Finally, please make sure you input a Username in the field to the right. This is so we can keep track of all the people involved in the project. It's okay to use a psuedonym too! The Discord integration is very much optional - it's mostly for the people who will be administering this project.

I'm not super confident in my writing skills though...

Don't worry about it! Part of the crowdsourcing theme is that you can leave the cleaning up and implementation to the people who know what they're doing. If you make a mistake and write the wrong line for the case, we'll move it! If your line reads kinda funny, we'll tweak it to keep the same meaning with better prose! If a spelling mistake or two has slipped through, we'll correct it!

Don't sweat the small stuff, just have some fun, get in character and write a little!
