Error pulling from Github: Unable to merge unrelated histories

I haven't been able to pull the updates since the git repository changed. Any time I try I get the same message of "unable to merge unrelated histories". I tried looking up solutions, and they all say to type in the command to allow merging, but I'm very technically challenged. How do I find this command prompt on Github?
