Good Morning to you all, my Fellow Splatoon Players!

As with the most recent Splatfest announcement, everyone has been going a bit crazy due to excitement, hype, and tad bit of salt as well. And honestly it's perfectly reasonable, as this splatfest is shaping up to be just like Callie vs Marie from Splatoon 1.

And with that being said, true to the title, I am Team Shiver all the way. And if I may, I'd truly like to share 3 things:

1. Why I LOVE Shiver

2. Why I think Shiver should win the best leader Splatfest

And 3. How I feel on the current perspective of how Shiver and her fans are being treated.

Before I do, I would simply like to say, that if you are Team Frye or Team Big Man, that's more power to you, as truly, this Splatfest is to vote for your favorite, and I know that I cannot stop true love for your favorite Idols.

With all that, let me go into detail for each of my 3 points.

Point 1. Why I love Shiver:

This simple 4 letter statement can get a lot of reactions out of a lot of my fellow splatoon player, but I have my reasons, and it all traces back to the very day Deep Cut was revealed to the world.

That first look into her eyes, truly caught ny attention, I dare say it was love at first sight, as the community around Shiver started to form, and I myself grew to have a huge role in it.

Excitement was always buzzing with every fanart that was made, but really, What Shiver gave me in particular was special.

The reason I love her so much goes beyond her absolutely beautiful design, as in her eyes, Shiver's heart shined with a single promise to me:

The promise of a fresh start, the promise of a community-like family, simply, in her eyes, I could see the warmth of what Splatoon is all about, the fun game that captured my heart way back when it was but a starting IP on the Wii U.

The franchise as a whole has gotten me through MANY tough moments of my life, I cannot deny that, but Shiver alone, as done even more.

She helped shape me to who I am today, it's because of her, I've been able to save the lives of many people, people who would grow to be my close friends. It's because of Shiver, that I feel accepted for who I am as a person, as I see myself in her every day. We're both a bit cool headed, but deep down are just dorks who want to have a good time, and impress our friends.

Many of you reading this I'm certain can relate, in one way or another. But truly, Everything about Shiver is simply perfect on my eyes.

She's grace, she's beautiful, she's silly, she's a bit of a theatric dork, but that's why we Shiver fans love her so much, especially me. She's a hero for many of us, and to me, she is my radiant Queen.

Point 2: Why I think Shiver makes the best leader of Deep Cut(Basically why she should win).

Though it would be so easy to simply say because I love her, there are quite a few reasons that she would be a great leader of the Trio.

The first major point in her favor is that She is always in charge of the Anarchy Splatcast, as the spokesperson. Always, she bows to us politely before starting the News, but this is merely only one of the many sides of this multi-faceted Octoling Idol. In particular, People do say Frye is more of a leader, especially in the story mode, and that is true to some extent, as I cannot refute that hard evidence in her favor. But even still, with Shiver making Marie the official boss of Deep Cut, that isn't her submitting to the Squid Sisters, particularly Marie. The way I interpret it, is that Shiver, recognizing Marie's capabilities as well as kindness, wants only the best for her and Deep Cut, as truly Frye and Big Man are her absolute best friends in the world, she wants to make them happy. And even moreso, During the story mode, it's Shiver who flat out says that Deep Cut is always watching out for the needy, hence her love of money to be able to help those in need, showcasing her generosity, as a leader who gives to those who need help more, especially her friends. And lastly for this point, we have The Hologram Concert, where Shiver takes center stage for being Deep Cut's leader, wanting to defend the group's reputation when Callie and Marie show up to enhance the show even more. Between her asking Big Man and Frye to step up with her to show their stuff, or where Shiver herself gets to shine with her vocals, the very HIGHLIGHT of many of their songs(especially with her leading vocals for Hide and Sleek), it's no contest that Shiver absolutely has proven her self as a capable, caring, and proud leader.

And lastly, we come to Point 3: How Shiver and her fans have been treated lately.

With the recent chain of events that led to Yesterday, it has been clear that the Splatoon fan base has been VERY harsh to Shiver and her fans, and genuinely it's tragic and heartbreaking to see.

Yes, it is true that she's been winning a lot of splatfest lately, but I cannot help that Nintendo has some very odd decision making for categories. But furthermore, that doesn't excuse the fact that Shiver and her fans have gone through the RINGER in terms of raw, undeserved hate.

From being called "Shiver Simps", or accounting her victory to her "Simps" alone, to flat out sending hateful messages to many of us for just LIKING Shiver, this behavior is quite frankly both immature and completely unacceptable in a game that promotes a growing community built on friendship and acceptance.

I've had to face many, many harsh comments and hateful messages, just because I love Shiver. And that many people are voting Frye or Big Man all out of spite against Shiver.

And yes, I can understand that my love for her would easily get me labeled as a "Simp" in many of your eyes, but it's more that just raw outer beauty that is why I like her, she's beautiful inside and out. And, furthermore, the Shiver fanbase(especially our subreddit r/Shiverism) has had to face many controversial accidents between getting hatred messages, or trying to prevent a goddamn Raid that invaded nearly every idol based subreddit with swarms of NSFW art during the Goddamn reddit blackout movement.

What I'm trying to say is, the Shiver fanbase truly doesn't like all this hatred and accusations, as we just want to share our love of Shiver. (And note, if you do be horny for Shiver, that's fine, all fictional characters have people horny for them, just try to keep it sfwl)(atleast in the respective non-nsfw subreddits).

Mine will always be Shiver, so please respect that, and understand that I wish the best of luck to all 3 Idols for the splatfest, as I'll be there to support Shiver, just as you will be there to support your favorite idol of Deep Cut.
