I trust God explicitly 

To carry me through the difficulty.

I don't believe She has arms to hold me

But Her love is enough to help me see

That fear is such a foolish emotion.

Thus, you see the source of my devotion

Comes not from the worship of some lord

Who defeats the world's monsters with a sword.

Instead, I love Her for giving me the grace

To go up against my demons and then face

The devil who lurks below the surface

And does more than make me nervous.

Yes, God allows me to continuously defeat

The flaws found in this body of meat.

She gives me strength when I am weak.

If my ego is unruly, She makes me meek.

When temptation is clawing at the door

Her divine hand helps me win that war.

Or if the journey is long, She makes me soar

By filling me with faith to my very core

That She's with me every step of the way.

The sun may be a source of all light rays

But Her embrace is what warms me up

Until overrunneth is my spiritual cup.

Then I can share with all those I love

The same gifts I receive from above

No matter what might tear us apart

Because God is what rests in my heart.
