Hi, I’m really new to this and have a question about what this could be. Last summer a family member of mine had passed away after a long battle with cancer. Growing up I was fairly close with them, but over the last 7 years there was tension within our families and no one was speaking to one another. Family gatherings were separate, you weren’t allowed to attend if “ xyz “ was attending. That kind of petty stuff. No really reason why it was that way but everyone just went about their lives. I had decided to visit with my ill family member so they could meet my child and we could catch up. I tried to keep in contact after the visit but it was short lived. I moved across the country and a few months after that they got very sick one night and doctors didn’t expect them to survive much longer. My mom was jumping on a plane the next morning to see them and say goodbyes. That night I had a dream of the family member, but they looked exactly like they did in a photo I took of them when I was 7. It’s always been my favourite picture of them. They look so happy and beautiful in it. So in my dream my family member is there, looking like how they did in the photograph, and I keep saying to them “you look so happy, you look beautiful, I’m so glad to see you”. They never say anything, they just stand there smiling at me. I woke up that morning and knew they had passed away. My mom came to me shortly after and had said they didn’t make it through the night.

I have never had an experience like that, has anyone had something similar ? I’m unsure if maybe it was just the stress of the whole situation making me dream of them?
