Please bear with me this is just a thought I had earlier. I think most of us agree that lasting happiness / joy cannot be obtained from external things and it comes from within. So if the world's population realised this and that's what we all aimed for then wouldn't that stop how we evolve? We wouldn't look to obtain possessions or to build the biggest buildings etc and then we wouldn't find new cures for things because our technology wouldn't evolve and we could see disease epidemics etc. What are your thoughts guys?
