I just had to express this somewhere.

I really get a strong sense he is talking about things he is not embodying. Like I get very little to no embodiment or feeling with what he’s saying. It seems very mind centered.

He seems to have branded himself as this super smart person (going to yale or wherever), and so therefore he’s got the ideas to move us into a new world.

Don’t get me wrong, the ideas are good.

But he seems to be saying the things many of us have thought before, as if they are brand new. And then promoting himself as a thought leader. Many things are not really brand new, like gift economies. But there doesn’t seem to be much connection with him and actually embodying this through reciprocity with native peoples.

It just seems like a lot of talk and self promotion. Not nefarious. Just a lack of awareness.

I don’t mean to be mean, I think he’s well intentioned. I just always get a weird feeling listening to him like he’s not in his body, even though he’s saying very spiritual things.

Anyone else relate?

I wonder how to get through to people who have a mental understanding but don’t seem to have fully integrated heart/emotional understanding. (If that’s the case, I may be off the mark).
