I have been running this BO3 list since the new set came in, mostly out of excitement for UW having instant speed hard removal from [fateful absence]. After running at least 20 Historic events over the last few days I have only so far made two changes. I swapped a [soul guide lantern] for the relic since all my graveyard stuff is incidental and I'd prefer the draw and exile, as well as cutting a 3rd timely from the board for Kaheera after my first run. My average so far has been 3-2s with a few 7-0s and exactly one 0-2.

Matchups:

Jeskai, Mirrors & misc control.

I lumped these together because my general gameplan is pretty much the same for all of them. Never tap out past turn 3. Take the turn 2 lapse on basically anything just to tempo them a bit. In these matchups my wincon is either making castle tokens or running them out of counters or forcing them to tap out and landing a tef then protecting it. Making big sharks is too dangerous with charm in the format. For boarding if they have no graveyard synergy I obviously cut the relic and if they do I bring in the RIPs and cut the Deluges.. I also board out all my sweepers and in the Nezahal and Discontinuity and as many counters as possible, usually over the commit and one tef and typhoon.

This particular matchup feels extremely skill testing, where the winner is the one who just never misplays. Having the main board Discontinuity as a 2 mana shark counter feels super good though.

Grul Aggro

Game 1 the only real question is if I have a hand full of early interaction into a sweeper. If I do then I can usually buy enough time to stabilize. If not then they usually run me over before I can do anything about it. Game 2 is all sweepers on deck along with the timelies. I'll board out the discontinuity and the relic along with the two neutralizes for the baffling ends. The plan in game two is pretty much the same, except with the hope to draw timely to try to stabilize at more than 1.

Game 1 is tough to win unless I happen to keep a relevant hand. Game 2 and three feel much better with the extra wrath and timelies to buy extra turns. It generally feels about 60-40 my way.

Jund sac

Game 1 here is usually down to how many cats/devils they draw and if I draw my relic or manage to steal a huge squirrel. Mostly I have to worry about stabilizing at a life total high enough to not get burned out by letting a devil through. Game 2 feels pretty good after I bring in the RIP and some extra exile removal over deluge and neutralizes. Depending on how the opponent's 75 feels I might board in the timelies to buy time or sometimes not board out the discontinuity if they feel bigger and slower as a bad Nexus of Fate.

This matchup feels really good. As long as I am conscious of my life total to avoid getting burned out and keep devils and korvolds off the board it never feels out of my control.

Monowhite, Elves & misc wide creature decks.

Game 1 comes down to having a sweeper fairly early or a handful of removal. Game 2 is all sweepers on deck plus removal.

These feel almost unloseable if I draw 2 sweepers and extremely tough if I draw none.

I am mainly posting this to seek some deck tuning advice. This feels pretty good to me, but I have a suspicion that there's more potential here that I'm not a good enough brewer to see. I also wonder if it might be worth it with the slow lands to splash black for some number of [siphon insight] over deluge and [vanishing verse] over absence.
