So prepping for Louisville this weekend and I'm running Sam Blacks Anointed Procession deck. So far I've loved what it does against Mardu Vehicles, Zombies, and Monsters, but I'm questioning my ability to fight Marvel. More specifically Chandra/Ulamog. I am shaving off a Gideon and adding another Anguished Unmaking to the main, planning to run two more Unmaking in the side. Now the question I have is that everyone seems to say Dispossess/Transgress the Mind is better than Legacy because they are faster. Lemme explain a detail, then if you would, gimme your response.
This deck goes for the long game. Once the engine gets going, no creature based deck is going to beat mine. I've played and survived some absurdly stupid board states (opponent having Rhonas, Glorybringer, Heart, Lathnu Hellion, and Arlinn Kord flipped for trample damage, and I still beat that with my opponent curving out. He had all that still on the board, but I was making 4-8 tokens a turn, and 16-32 life gain a turn) so I'm not worried about Temurs mid-game backup plan of attacking with beaters and thopters. I dont really care about Sweltering Suns because it kills their board too and I can recover faster. What I care about are the T4 Ulamog and Chandra locking me down till they win, or even a late game Chandra hard cast. So I'm trying to find the best answers. IF I can get both with Legacy, I feel my chances of winning at 100% but I'm trying to compare using Legacy/Dispossess/Transgress with this deck instead of the other conversations which are Zombies. I feel my need is different than theirs because they need the speed.
So any help at all, especially explaining why you feel one is better over the others, is greatly appreciated.
