Spikes! I have a question! In this mid-range dominant meta, where are the control decks? When I played the prerelease, I opened a surprising number of utter ends and crackling dooms and I knew I had found my calling. I won't post the list yet, as mainly I simply have some questions for the spikes. I will edit this post later once I get home with the list I'm running.
But what I want to know is, why haven't we seen the RWB control deck yet?
Fated retribution, end hostilities, and even drown in sorrow and anger of the gods can be great boardwipes. hero's downfall is incredibly powerful, crackling doom is EVIL, reflecting palm is gnarly. So why the aggro strategies that are so flimsy? Even the Mardu control decks I saw were trying to win with butcher, rabblemaster, or sarkhan. Did everybody forget about the great control god mogis? Dropping the indestructible enchantment that usually remains an enchantment without incredible luck (making it harder to remove). With the few shots fired from crackling dooms, reflecting palms, and various walkers, Mogis is a real heavy hitter in a one-for-one style deck which I'm describing. So my follow-yup question is, how reliable is Mogis, God of Slaughter as a wincon?
EDIT: I swear, I will have the list up soon! I just need 1 more Temple of Silence!
