I have been terrified of spiders all my life! I have been browsing this subreddit for a long time, and it has helped some with my fear of spiders. I no longer want to kill them, I find them beautiful, but I'm still scared to catch and release them. I really am trying to not be afraid of them. They are beautiful and very helpful. I know spiders are friends, some are dangerous. I once held a pet tarantula, I was terrified but didn't want to drop it. That was over 20 years ago.. Any advice on getting over the fear?
I do always remind myself they are amazing pest control and most of the time not going to randomly come at me lol. Slowly but hopefully surely I'll become less afraid. It's about that time of the year spiders and bugs are going to want to come in due to cold weather.

I guess catch and release from inside my home. I once had a shower spider who was tiny and hung in the top corner of my shower and I let him be for months. Then one day he was just gone. I feel like that tiny spider gave me more confidence to not fear them as much. Thank you, tiny spider. I used to live in a bottom apartment and regularly got wolf spiders and that just terrified me. I will continue to learn more about spiders and try my hardest to not be so scared of them. They are more scared of me!
