Does the new game plus trophy count towards the platinum?

So I have 7 more trophies until I get the platinum, but I’m wondering if anyone knows if the new game plus trophy counts towards the platinum? Cuz if so I’m gonna run through the game again on new game plus so I can try and control the video capture of the platinum trophy and make it look good (I know I’m weird lol). But if I don’t HAVE to do that, ima just get the platinum before I start new game plus. Anyone know?
