From what I've been able to read and determine, there are no protections in most places for donating, especially with NI. And even if you do keep yourself anonymous, there are ways to track you down for child support which is my biggest concern. Of course I would only donate for someone who is able to care for the child, either can afford to, or has a partner. I would never leave a mother and child struggling or without money. I believe there are more protections with sperm banks, but I do prefer to have it naturally. But of course this comes with risks.

I have been talking with someone about helping them naturally, and we have mutual interest and have discussed things. But I have been hesitant due to the risks of current or future child support.

Is this just one of those things where if you go ahead with being a donor, you live with the possible consequences and risks? Or are there ways to donate NSA without being responsible?
