Having to use speed due to vyvanse shortage in the uk, and generally ADHD management.
Post Body

Right, cant believe I'm in this boat again, but for those of who arent aware there is a massive shortage for Vyvanse within the uk.

Im diagnosed ADHD, inattentive. The whole adhd management within the nhs is pathetic, I used to be taking 60mg but got cut to 30mg by a completely different psych. I will admit drugs were a reason, but I protested the decision, because during titration 30mg only helped for like 2-3 days max. It takes 2 hours for any therapeutic effects to begin, and wears off after 5 hours. Not ideal at all.

My main psy finds plays it safe out long story short shortage comes in and now i cant even get the useless dose anymore, I have lots of academic work to do and compared to my first year in university during which i was doing well and much more on top of things. Im know struggling to keep up now.

My dose was first decreased during my clinical placement, which fucked me immediately. No taper just straight halved which left me exhausted, all the time. Being late, and just straight fucking me in everyway possible, personal life included.

My clinic isn't being super useful, and during placement had to essentially taper my self with speed.

I'm know using straight speed despite being diagnosed. Know this uphill battle off getting a dignosis which was a Netflix series itself, is now completely pointless aside from being able to use the diagnosis to avoid discrimination. Feels like im being punished for essentially using drugs in my spare time.

Like, this whole ahdh management is so dumb here, like I have to remind psychs that Vyvanse wds are real and not just my adhd coming back. Ig for the time being i can just get higher quality and do acetone washes and if necessary maybe do recrystallisation. Then what do this forever or until I'm done with uni? like in the medical field your never really done with learning.

Most of my life i spent being denied any form of treatment, now things are basically going back to how things are. In the nhs its not as simple as go see another doctor, If already made that request, GPS here are all mostly the same. Its rare to find a good and caring one. ffs.
