I’ve been training for my first Spartan Sprint at an OCR camp, and I’m a boulderer.
We don’t have an Olympus wall at the camp, but every video I’ve seen of people doing the Olympus seem to use the holes and chain to get across.
Obviously as a climber I would have an advantage compared to a non-climber using small holds as I’m used to them, but all of the angles I’ve seen of the Wall look like the holds are pretty positive even for someone that doesn’t climb, and look way less difficult / painful than grabbing especially the chain.
Just curious as to why nobody seems to use them, there’s clearly a reason that isn’t so clear just viewing videos! Maybe they’re a lot smaller than they seem? Or maybe I’m in the minority that just can’t handle chains haha.
