Alright lads,

I am starting to plan that shit (for those who missed that post). There are multiple formats possible. But first the updated rules:

Possible roles

• Town
• Mafia
• Cop - Can check someone during the night and find out his affiliation (town/mafia). Affiliated with the town.
• Doctor - Chooses one person during the night, if someone attempts to kill that person, the doctor saves him. Affiliated with the town.
• Vigilante - Can kill someone during the night on his own behalf. Affiliated with the town.

Role Setups *(this can change in the future if something proves inbalanced)

• 5 Players: 1 Mafia, rest Town. Game starts with a day (no one is dead).
• 6 Players: 1 Mafia, rest Town. Game starts with a night (Mafia kills one, then day comes.)
• 7-8 Players: 2 Mafia, 1 Cop, rest Town. Game starts with a night.
• 9-12 Players: 3 Mafia, 1 Cop, 1 Doctor or 3 Mafia, 1 Cop, 1 Vigilante. Game starts with a night.
• 13-15 Players: 4 Mafia, 1 Cop, 1 Vigilante, 1 Doctor *or 4 Mafia, 1 Cop, 1 Vigilante, 1 Doctor. Game starts with a night.

Now to the 3 formats and its playability:

1. Skypecall Webcam Is probably the best way to play MAFIA online. A Streamed Skypecall with all players using a webcam gives the best body language reads, more player interaction, most interesting for viewer and easy to understand who is speaking when. Overall just the best. Downside is not everyone got a webcam or is comfortable using one.

2. Skypecall Ingame Meetup Provides the second best player interaction. But can turn out to be a biiiigg pain in the butt figuring out who is speaking when. Some kind of marking for speaking players would be needed (like press sneak when you speak) which potentially wouldn't even work properly (people forgetting to sneak, or not letting go etc. etc.)

3. Just Skypecall with maybe the minecraft skin face as avatar or something would probably be the easiest way to do it(speaking players are highlighted automatically. However the interaction between people is basically voice only and it also could turn out most boring for viewers just staring at a bunch of pictured talking.
