I'm trying to make a Large Ship transport, so I can multiple ships with me when I travel with a dedicated ship instead of jankily landing them on parts of my larger ship. I want it to have a bunch of features to make it perfect for transport and one of the most import ones is making it able to enter planets atmospheres and to be able to get up to a high speed to travel large distances, So I though a cool way of doing this would be to have large thruster packs that pointing forward and with the push of a button rotate to point up for when you want to land (And maybe even backwards to slow down)
When thinking about it I though that having these large thruster packs only supported by 1 rotor would be flimsy and mess with the ship (I am no stranger to clang and I do not wish to anger him) so I had an idea that might fix this, having merge blocks that I disable, turn the thruster pack, and then reconnect to keep it rigid and as a single grid.
So I set up a small test to see If I could make it happen and like all first proto-types in my experience...It didn't work. I kept trying but I couldn't get it to work, Do you have any tips on how I could make this system work? am I just missing something?
I appreciate the help in advance.
