Solar rotors on ships - Worth it?
Post Body

So I've been playing survival for a while. Started on Earth-like, got into space, built a base on an asteroid. Been collecting resources and have been slowly converting that asteroid base into a rather large ship. I've got some uranium, but mostly I've been relying on solar masts for most of my power needs. I prefer to save the uranium for if and when solar gets damaged. Which means that I do want solar on this new mobile base, but I'm not sure if I want to deal with putting the solar panels on rotors. Feels like inviting clang. One consideration, I've noticed that playing on the server I'm on, that turning rotor lock on and off to move a ship, almost always explodes, so I'm tempted to avoid rotors just because of this.

What do my fellow engineers think? Are solar rotors on a ship worth it in survival, especially considering I have the resources to just double the number of panels.
