Why can’t we install fresnel lenses to orbit the sun to diffuse or concentrate solar light onto planets?

Post Body
I’ve been thinking about this for some time. Seeing an article about wanting to go for Venus seems like a simple solution of cooling the planet, changing some of its geology to have bases to balance out the acids, and then attempting again at a landing. Using a fresnel lens at a Lagrange point to reduce the amount of energy the planet takes in primarily makes it seem like the right choice to balance its energy. What barriers are there in this cheap and simple solution?
