Is it better to search for alien signals in the direction that our galaxy is travelling?

Post Body

If all galaxies are expanding through the universe... is our galaxy moving in any certain direction? And if so is it better to point our listening devices in that direction? As we might be more likely to pass through the signals of aliens?

I figure this question will help me understand how the the universe inflates.. the balloon analogy doesn't make sense to me and there must be a better way.
