Is there a month where our planet is pointing OUTWARDS into the universe relative to the center of our galaxy?

Post Body

I imagine since the Earth takes 226 million years to circle the Milky Way that there is a time in the year where our planet is actually on the opposite side of the sun and the center of the Milky Way is on the other side of our sun...

Is there a way to find out what time of year this is?

*edit I really am interested in finding out what time of year (and yes day/night) that we are closest to the edge of the galaxy and universe... it would just be interesting for me to know how i' situated within the galaxy/universe... i'm weird. I realize the subject title doesn't make much sense! Thanks for bearing with me!
