So Soylent is well-known for making people very gassy. I was on it for three weeks months ago and had awful gas every day and it never abated. My friend on 1.5 has confirmed it's still a problem.
I don't understand why this happens. The company has blamed the fiber in the past, but I have supplemented with Metamucil for years with no ill gas effects.
Has Soylent ever thought about doing experiments with lower amounts of fiber or different kinds? I get about 10g of fiber daily from Metamucil in addition to what I get from vegetables and fruits, and no gas problems.
Anyway, just a question, because I want Soylent to be a part of my routine but I can't do it while the gas problems exist (all my hobbies are in close proximity to other people and require lots of fast movement).
