I moved to South Carolina about 3 years ago. Had a clean driving record. I was in an area I didn’t know and got pulled over for speeding. I didn’t see any signs posted and was going about 10 over. I payed the ticket but reckless driving was put on my record. That makes no sense. It was a minor speeding offense and I wasn’t driving recklessly. Is there a way to get it removed from your record? Seems harsh considering what else is categorized under reckless driving.
By definition, reckless is a disregard for the consequences of your actions. You knew you were speeding, you were reckless.
