I'm trying to figure out if all tipping methods are equal when it comes to Mr D, or even Uber Eats, etc.
The purpose would be to maximise the benefit for the drivers.
The service fee for Mr D is R15. As far as I am aware, this amount is always paid to the driver if no tip is specified.
Let's assume I order R200 worth of food and add 10% tip. Does the driver get R20 R15 or only the R20? I've heard that in the USA, food delivery services will not pay the default service fee to the driver if your tip covers it.
In the latter case, it would be better to specify no tip on the app and simply tip your driver with a R20 note when they arrive.
