Post Body

I recently purchased an Anova One (less than one week), and I am having this issue with the spinning propeller hitting the side skirt. I opened it up and see that the propeller rod is not centered in the machine. I tried pushing it back according to support staff, but I was not able to center it since the rod just spring back.

I am frustrated because I felt the support staff is extremely defensive when it comes to this issue. They keep telling me this is a known issue and it WILL happen. My problem is that it happened on the first week, and it is unfixable unless I sent it back.

They said they could switch out for a new machine for me, but I asked her what if the new one start having this same issue a year down the line (out of warranty period), then my $200 machine is just obsolete? They said if that's how I feel, then I can just return it.

This Anova was my birthday gift from my SO and I felt rude returning it in favor of another brand. However, I feel like Anova is not giving me the confidence in their product to stay with this one. Anyone else have this issue? or dealt with their support staff? Should I stay with Anova, or just switch to another more reliable brand to save the headache.

Please let me know what you think?
