Durability of Other Circulators vs. Joule

Post Body

I've only used the ChefSteps Joule since I've been cooking sous vide. I've been using them for over 5 years now. Over that time period, I've had at least 4 units fail. I've been covered two times by the warranty. For reference, I cook sous vide about 2-4 times per month. Long cooks (24 hours or more) are pretty infrequent for me.

Naturally, it makes me wonder about other people's experiences with their Joule(s) or other circulators in terms of durability/longevity. What do you use and what has been your experience?

Comments

That's an insane failure rate. I have been using a Gourmia for like 5 years now without issue. I use it 3-5x a week.
