Plug cleaning

Iā€™m comfortably wearing a 12 mm hollow metal plug 24/7. Love the extra weight at the tip, the look and the functionality. I have a 13 mm purchased but know that ā€œupgradingā€ will be a slow process. The plug has 3 ridges and it stays in place very well reaching about 1.5 to 2.0 inches in.

Iā€™d like to hear opinions how often it should be removed for cleaning. The body naturally cleans it every time one ā€œgoesā€, but would you recommend more ā€œdeep cleaningā€ or even short breaks occasionally - it would feel empty not to have it in.

Thanks for a great detailed answer. That is near the same as my process. The pipe cleaners are a must. I wash well with soap and rinse, then soak in 98% alcohol and rinse again (alcohol would burn unless that is oneā€™s thing). I do the same with sounds and donā€™t usually boil them - would add to better hygiene. I do boil silicone sounds though (or steam really) but steering away from silicone, metal is so much ā€œhotterā€ to play with. I rarely go deep but when the mood hits, then silicone is best to reach Prostate and even bladder. For bladder depth play medical catheter would be my choice.

Back to plugs, I just finished wearing my 12 mm pass through (hollow) plug for 3 days in a row, now taking a break and then putting back in for another 3 days. Love the heaviness at the tip.
