I've been producing for about a year, but only just started getting into sound design, so very new to all this.
I've actually been watching through Choos' videos and they've been super helpful with trying to understand how to go about dissecting sounds. https://rumble.com/user/CHOOS?page=2
From what I've seen, there's a few different plugins I've observed (so far) which allow you to do different things:
Voxengo Span - Allows you to see the different frequencies, which can help you determine what initial waveforms might have been used.
s(M)exoscope - Allows you to see if the sound you've recreated matches the amplitude waveform of the original sample.
What tools/techniques do you personally use?
Also open to any tips and tutorials as well which might teach me this stuff, I'm basically dedicating all my free time towards mastering this :)
