Living at home in basement family room. Later this year, I plan to upgrade lighting down here, and want sound proofing on the ceiling to dampen my booming voice going upstairs.
Looking for ideas to add sound proofing, current ideas are maybe rigid foam insulation attached to ceiling? I plan on adding wafer lights, so while I have 6" holes in my ceiling, I could spray some insulation up there, but I don't know what's I'd use that be effective, not messy, and not crazy expensive.
Any ideas? Feel free, I'm open to anything, and this is months out.
