I'm a curious observer here, with no personal connection to any members of /r/sorceryofthespectacle. I discovered the community through a reddit search related to philosophy about 6 months ago.

I'd like to know more about how you ended up joining this community. Do you have a small local group? Friends that pointed you here? A larger organization that is related? Is "sorcery of the spectacle" a well-known term within some other context?

My motivation: I'm unusually disoriented when reading posts here. That isn't necessarily a bad thing; however, it does make this subreddit special. I wonder if my confusion and/or lack of bearings is shared by others. Perhaps understanding how you arrived here might help me understand more.
